Let’s start with something simple. Is anything infinite? If you imagine it, does it make it so? It is much harder to imagine a finite world, a universe, then one with infinite subtlety. Space and time, digitized and counted. The number of possible configurations fixed. No forever.

Wait, you say, why not forever? Because in forever lies infinity. Imagine a universe with infinite discrete time. But we will have only two states. A and B. Our universe is a sequence of As and Bs stretching forever into the future. And the past. We cannot forget that direction, though it hardly matters. If we do this, if you can “imagine” it, then you have a veritable infinity. And in those infinite possiblities, you can construct anything you like. Once you open the door to infinity, anything is possible.
